BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin and into the muscle in areas surrounding the eyes, forehead, and mouth to smooth crow’s feet, frown and worry lines. BOTOX® is made from a purified protein and injections block nerve impulses, which weaken muscles and relax wrinkles to give the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for excessive sweating and can be injected into hands, feet and underarms.

Dr. Fazilat will design an individualized plan for each patient and will dose injection based on size of muscle and the final desired effect. He also is able to use BOTOX® to achieve a beautifully shaped eyebrow through his artistic vision.

Typical treatment time: 45 minutes – 1 hour.
Anesthesia: Topical anesthetic and personal ice packs.
Treatments last: 3 – 6 months.

Restylane®

Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips, and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic and biodegradable gel made with hyaluronic acid (a natural substance that is found throughout your body). It carries little risk of allergic reaction because it is based on a non-animal naturally occurring substance. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellas (lines between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). Restylane® has the unique ability to bind with water, so it remains in your skin for many months.

Typical treatment time: 30 minutes.
Anesthesia: Local anesthetic.
Treatments last: 6 -12 months.

Radiesse™.

Radiesse™ is a synthetic injectable filler that reduces wrinkles, creases, and scars by augmenting the body’s natural collagen supply. Composed of micro spheres in a biocompatible gel, Radiesse™ is made from the same minerals found in our bones, so it carries little risk of allergic reaction. It can be used on many areas of the body, including the lips, nasolabial folds, peri-oral lines, depressed scars and oral commissures.

Typical treatment time: 15 – 30 minutes.

Treatments last: 12 – 14 months.

Juvederm™ Injectable Gel

Juvéderm™ is an injectable gel that gently reverses many signs of aging in the face including fine lines and wrinkles, crow’s feet, thinning lips, and loosening skin. It can also “plum up” the lips, sculpt the cheeks, and restore a youthful shape to the face. Juvéderm™ is made with hyaluronic acid which is a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to give volume and support to the skin. Because it is non-animal based and highly biocompatible, no pre-treatment testing is needed. The product comes in three formulas optimized for the depth of the area being treated. Dr. Fazilat will talk to you about the differences in the three formulas and help you pick the one that is best for you.

Typical treatment time: 15 – 30 minutes.
Anesthesia: Local anesthetic.
Treatments last: 6 – 9 months.

Latisse™

LATISSE™ is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker. Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes. LATISSE™ is believed to affect the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in two ways: first, it increases the length of this phase; and second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase. The product is a liquid that is applied to your eyelashes by a small one-use brush. LATISSE™ is safe for those that wear contacts or want to still use mascara.

Treatment time: LATISSE™ is a once-daily treatment that you can easily build into your routine.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels accelerate cell turnover by removing damaged outer layers of skin on the face producing a more smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes and pre-cancer growths. The result is healthy glowing skin. Peel formulas and strengths are tailored for each patient. Chemical peels are optimal for reducing acne and acne scarring, improving the tone, texture and clarity of your skin, reduce or eliminate age spots and freckles, soften lines and wrinkles, and stimulate the production of collagen for firmer, more youthful skin.

Dr. Fazilat finds that his patients respond best to VIPEEL™ chemical peels. They can be used on the face (most popular), hands, feet, and chest area. A single VIPEEL™ treatment will achieve significant repair and has a minimal pain associated with the treatment. Daily skin care and maintenance will prolong the effect of the chemical peel.

Typical treatment time: The chemical peel itself takes less than 15 minutes. Full results are expected 3 – 7 days after treatment.
Treatments last: it is recommended to have a VIPEEL™ treatment once every 3 months to prevent damage and the underlying aging of the skin. The peel may be repeated as often as every two weeks for severely damaged skin. Dr. Fazilat will assess your skin type and recommend a treatment plan specific to you.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a rather simple procedure used to treat spider veins (small clusters of red, blue, or purple veins). During the procedure, veins are injected with a sclerosing solution which causes the vein to close off and fade from view.

Laser Skin Treatment

We offer laser hair removal for all different skin types. Various types of lasers (which produce pulses of high-energy light that cause hair to become dormant) are used based on the patient skin and hair color. A single treatment may reduce thickness and density of hair but multiple treatments provide best results.
